Rise Bryggeri
Company

Rise Bryggeri - Aerø Brewery A/S is a microbrewery that lies in a pretty corner of the village of St.Rise in the heart of the island of Aerø in the South Danish Sea. The brewery itself was built on top of an ancient water source which now supplies the nearby water works, still today the island's best source. In the old days, it counted on the water's constant temperature at 7 Reumert degrees through summer and winter. The main building is from the 1880es, when a dairy was established which later became a brewery.

Today, Rise Bryggeri focuses equally on producing both conventional and organic beers, and is pressing ahead towards its goal of establishing a green production line. This initiative involves, amongst much else, minimising the use of water, electricity and additives, and eventually becoming self-sufficient in as many ingredients as possible.
